Contract Business Analyst

Our Financial Services client is looking for a Business Analyst with experience with software integration projects who will participating in the development and implementation of existing and new strategies for major business applications and ongoing system operations, identifying alternatives in tune with industry standards.  This is a long term contract assignment in Downtown Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Gathering & documentation of business processes and workflows
  • Understanding business logic and process interdependencies and detailed impact analysis, recommends appropriate / alternative and efficient solution
  • Ability to work with the business stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Software integration experience in a Business Analyst capacity
  • Preference to financial institution experience but not required
  • Fluent and comfortable working in an Agile environment
  • Gathering & documentation of business processes and workflows
  • Ability to translate business needs into written requirements and process maps
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong listening and negotiation skills
  • Facilitation of meetings, workshops, discovery sessions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Significant attention to detail and quality work products
