Project Manager

On behlaf of our client, Affinty is seeking a Senior Project Manager to initiate project management deliverables for myHEALTHSystem Surgical Clinical Documentation, providing project leadership and management. 

Key Deliverables
  • Collaborate with appropriate Steering Committees and Working Groups in the development and approval of Project Charter;
  • Apply PMI principles and methodology to manage the timelines, resources, scope and quality requirements;
  • The Project Manager will use Fraser Health Project Management lifecycle (including artifact templates) to manage this project;
  • Manage and maintain project decision, issue, risk logs and change requests;
  • Budget development, monitoring and reconciliation;  
  • Status reporting (budget, deliverables and timelines);
  • Develop the following project deliverables: Education and Training Plan, Communication and Change Management Plan, Go LIVE Plan, Project Closure documents;
  • Track project plans and deliverables;
  • Collaborate with vendors to manage successful delivery and implementation of project components;
  • Execute the Education and Training Plan, Communication and Change Management Plan, Go LIVE Plan;
  • Provide monthly and ad hoc updates to the Steering Committee and work closely with working groups;
  • Participate as a member of the project leadership team;
  • Provide project management support through coaching and guiding the project team;
  • Collaborate with project team in the use of methodologies/tools for the purpose of creating the project work breakdown structure, component plans and schedules that will be used;
  • Assume other related duties to coordinate core technical infrastructure changes, coordinate project activities with departments and staff at Fraser Health, HSSBC, IBM, Vendors;
  • Collaborate in the development/revision of Terms of Reference for each of the projects’ working groups i.e. Leads, Steering, etc.;
  • Collaborate with other associated myHEALTHSystem project teams, other internal Fraser Health teams, and external teams as necessary;
  • Assist with defining terms for any contracts needed to augment internal Fraser Health project team to include qualifications, deliverables, activities and timeframes for any work;  
  • Develop Benefits Evaluation framework, including key performance indicators to monitor achievement of target outcomes for primary direct stakeholders;
  • Implement an effective knowledge management repository to share project learnings within Project team and across other Fraser Health IMIT teams;
  • Other deliverables as necessary to deliver the project.

Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:   
We request explicit project references to support the skills and capabilities of the proponents.
The successful proponent shall:
  • Have ten (10) years extensive experience, demonstrable track record in providing Project Management services;
  • Have at least five (5) years recent experience managing complex, high profile projects/ initiatives;
  • Have experience in managing projects involving introducing information systems which include a significant component of system design, testing, documenting data definitions, and user education;
  • Have exceptional negotiation and people skills required to effectively move an organization through a significant period of change;
  • Have strong leadership skills and ability to manage clinical, technical and application groups to ensure project is on time and within scope and budget;
  • Possess exceptional facilitation skills at the Senior Management and other organizational levels;
  • Possess exceptional English language oral and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills;
  • Experience as a Project Manager with Fraser Health is preferred;
  • Recent experience implementing electronic clinical documentation is preferred; 
  • Experience with Meditech and/or GE Centricity PeriAnaesthesia is preferred;
  • Have a University Degree or equivalent Technical College/Institute Diploma is preferred;
  • A Project Management designation is required.
