Senior Test Engineer

Affinity is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to participate in a number of new projects. The projects are managed in an agile like environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, create and execute test plans and cases for COTS (Commercial, Off-The-Shelf) software applications and custom built software at a system level
  • ​Design and create scripts to automate the testing process;
  • Report software defects in a clear and concise manner;
  • Apply a good understanding of current technical environments and departmental standards relating to the Quality Assurance (QA) process;
  • Provide after-house support to production systems and/or program development as required;
  • Perform functional and detailed analysis on assigned projects;
  • Provide regular status reports to senior departmental staff.
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant discipline or a two-year college diploma in a computer program supplemented by industry recognized professional courses OR demonstrated equivalent experience and training in lieu of diploma, minimum 60 months (5 years);
  • ​Experience with agile like development lifecycle of software projects, especially usability studies, beta testing, and quality assurance  minimum 60 months (5 years);
  • Experience with testing COTS applications, work flow, and interfaces; 
  • Experience with traditional QA methods such as white/black box, performance, regression and acceptance testing minimum 60 months (5 years);
  • Experience in a quality assurance role, or equivalent related experience within a software development team minimum 60 months (5 years); and
  • Ability to work efficiently and estimate tasks within the confines of a project schedule, minimum 60 months (5 years).
