SAP Implementation Lead

Affinity Staffing is looking for an experienced Implementation Lead for our Client. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the implementation of strategic worldwide IT projects, specifically financial projects including business planning and amalgamation of SAP systems and technologies. You will manage cross-functional/business teams in the provision of new competencies, tools and processes designed to maximize the proficiency of the organization. 

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Implementation of SAP Business Planning Consolidation, and cost-effectiveness analysis with a quick deployment timeline 
  • Provide project leadership and direction, coordinate an implementation schedule and investment budget 
  • Deliver strategic leadership and prioritize projects to SVP and Steering Committee 
  • Provide comprehensive knowledge of business process and financial knowledge in the development of BPC capabilities and functionality 
  • Outline systems strategy, develop systems requirements, and implement business solutions 
  • Accountable for managing finance relations with consultants, team members and global finance 
  • Lead and facilitate process mapping discussions, blueprinting exercising for key finance procedures 
  • Support and work with Advanced Management Reporting lead to ensure BPC has reports and create a universal view and reporting of business financial decisions, reporting, and planning projects 
  • Align efforts and transfer capabilities across regions 

Qualifications and experience:
  • 10 + years of experience in finance/accounting/system implementation and demonstrated IT Leadership skills. 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and systems. 
  • Proficient working abilities in Excel and excellent knowledge of other MS Office Suite is required. 
  • Previous experience with BPC SAP implementations preferred. 
  • Excellent understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • The ability to perform analysis of technical transactions. 
  • Broad knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools. 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to quickly build effective, internal and external relationships. 
  • Well-developed analytical ability with an enquiring mind and the ability to think outside the box and search for answers. 
  • Diploma in Accounting from an accredited educational institution - equivalent education combined with experience may be considered. 
  • Professional accounting designation (CGA, CMA, CA) is preferred. 
  • Travel (50 % +) is required in first stages of BPC project implementation. 
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is considered an asset.
