IT Communications Project Manager
On behalf of our client, Affinity is currently seeking a Communications Project Manager to plan and develop communication and deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders as well as provide senior level of expertise to the internal change management team for all aspects of communications related to the project.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the initiative lead to understand goals and objectives, benefits and detriments of the proposed changes
  • Be responsible for the development and execution of the communication strategy and plan and related materials necessary for the successful transition
  • Coach leaders and business representatives to deliver messages and sponsor engagement activities
  • Work together with communications department to leverage the existing communication channels to achieve the communication objectives as appropriate including proposing, developing and managing new communication channels as required
  • Coordinate and ensure alignment of communication activities among the project work-streams and other change initiatives
  • Work collaboratively within the organization and the project team including business leaders, consultants, process owners, business analysts, systems analysts, and other subject matter experts to identify issues, formulate communications strategies, and create and manage messaging relating the transition.
 
Experience:
  • Experience drafting and executing stakeholder communications strategies
  • Experience drafting sensitive communications materials for a wide range of stakeholder groups
  • Experience drafting web content and easy-to-understand materials for the public
  • A university degree and/or post-graduate college certificate in communications, journalism
  • Working knowledge and understanding of change management principles and methodologies
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization – quickly establishing and then maintaining relationships
  • Ability to understand the requirements of each functional area
  • Ability to conduct stakeholder analysis and assessments
  • Ability to identify potential risks and points of resistance and develop specific plants to mitigate or address the concerns
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, meeting tight deadlines and working independently
  • Experience working with a large-scale organization
  • Experience managing complex, high-profile projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
