Senior Project Director - PACS Replacement

On behalf of our client, Affinity Staffing is seeking a Senior Project Director lead the upgrade/replacement stream in implementing a new regional PACS solution which will require changes in radiology workflow. Some of these workflows are very complex and interact with other radiology systems. There are multiple internal and external dependencies in this program with varying degrees of criticality.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Provide business leadership, coordination, team capacity management and expertise within the Corporate Infrastructure and Solution Delivery Portfolio
    1. Act as a senior point of contact and encourage collaboration between key stakeholders, program sponsors and teams
    2. Enable effective working relationships and successful achievement of program deliverables and organization objectives
    3. Liaise with Executive Leadership Team on program and project issues.
    4. Manage vendor relationship, deliverables and implementation plans
  • Review and validate in-flights project streams
    1. Offer recommendations and direction that enhances program structure
    2. Ensure a balanced approach exists between business readiness planning and vendor specific deliverables and timelines
  • Provide oversight and direction to project management resources
    1. Includes schedule development, resource planning, risk and issue logging, budget/financial reporting
    2. Participate in the negotiations and tracking of third party contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure successful execution of project components
    1. Agreed scope, schedule, cost and quality
    2. Manage and document risks
    3. Negotiate and document changes to project specifications
    4. Closely monitor and evaluate events to manage scope and budget
    5. Oversee related processes to ensure optimum efficiencies.
 
Requirements
 
  • Must have demonstrated 10+ years Program Management experience running complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Must have demonstrated 10+ years Program/Portfolio experience in a complex enterprise environment
  • Must have demonstrated 10+ years managing IT system/infrastructure implementations
  • Must have demonstrated 5+ years working in a Health Authority or similar environment
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills and experience making formal presentations and summarizing recommendations to Executive leaders within a large organization
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing projects and business process initiatives designed to improve efficiencies
  • Demonstrated experience leading an interdisciplinary team of technical and business resources effectively
  • Demonstrated experience of working in a complex enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work within and help resolve uncertain situations
  • Experience working within a PMO, complying with standards and practices
  • A positive change leader with demonstrated experience in Change Management techniques
  • Training and experience in best practice project management techniques and processes
  • PMP certification desirable
  • PROSCI or other Change Management certification desirable
